Italian mid-century modern bowl designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi, in the famous "Rimini Blu" decor. Made around the 1960.
The pattern, characterized by intricate and repetitive hand-stamped patterns and layered blue and turquoise glazes, can be seen in vases, lamps, ash trays, bowls, platters, animal figurines. This makes Bitossi pottery highly collectable.

Unfortunately there are a couple of chips on the rim (see photo), and what looks like a long chip on the rim is actually just a reflection of the light. This is still very useable and very collectible just the same, and still a very attractive piece....a knowledgable potter might be able to tell you whether or not the chips can be repaired.
Made with white clay with a blue gloss glaze, IDed with hand-written "742/ Ita....?" on the bottom.

8" (20cm) diameter
2" (5cm) high

Have a great day!
