This is a lovely brass statement necklace that I estimate to be from the 60's or 70's.

The chain is comprised of hand-hammered flowers linked with round filigree balls and smaller flower roundelles. The pendant has an oval center with a small brass flower encapsulated beneath a thin layer of a semi-flexible early plastic, probably celluloid. The center flower is framed by bands of wire work and small flowers. It slips on over the head without a closure.

pendant length: 1 3/4"
chain length: 25"

label/ maker's mark: none

material: brass

condition: excellent-very good. This piece has a warm patina consistent with age. There are a few fibers trapped beneath the plastic in the pendant that I have not attempted to remove. A couple of the flowers framing the pendant have a slightly bent link or two. No damage, missing parts or corrosion.
