Goddess Rhiannon might certainly enjoy wearing this lovely necklace while riding her shining white horse across the moors! Sweet, smooth golden citrine and white freshwater pearls, wired onto gold-plated chain, cluster above a huge faceted citrine rondelle; its tiny twin dangles beneath. In all it is approximately 19-1/2 inches long, including my own golden curly clasps and their citrine companions at the necklace ends. Ready, indeed, to grace the neck of any mystical, medieval

***I can shorten the necklace if you need a different length; please convo me with preferred length.

As Golden Goddess Rhiannon knows, citrine is said to encourage abundance, and has been associated with prosperity and success in business dealings, promoting optimism and harmony in both home and work environments. It is reputed to increase stamina and intuition, and to bring a sunny, sensual warmth to one's life. Citrine is November's birthstone.

And who might Rhiannon be, you ask? Here's her story:

One day long ago a great but mortal lord watched in awe as a beautiful lady in golden robes rode past him on a white horse. He summoned a rider and sent him to pursue her, but no matter how fast the rider went, he couldn't reach the lady, although her horse didn't seem to be moving at all quickly.

Several times the lord returned to the same spot, hoping to meet the beautiful lady, and although she reappeared, still the rider could not catch up with her. Finally the lord himself pursued the lady, but he fared no better. In desperation he called out, begging her to wait. "I will gladly", she said, "and it would have been better for your horse if you had asked before!"

Thus did Pwyll meet Goddess Rhiannon, eventually persuading her to marry him, and perhaps proving once and for all that it is usually best to use your words!
