This is a vintage portable record player / phonograph made by the Electrohome Steelman Series. Electrohome is a Canadian company and it was created in Kitchener, Ontario. I believe that it was made either in the late 50's or early 60's.

It is portable and has a handle along the side. It closes with a clasp located at the front of the case - similar to a suitcase. The piece does have some wear - some tearing of the fabric around the case and some stains from being kept in a basement for many years. It is missing the rubber piece which goes over the turntable and also missing the needle. When plugged in and turned on, you can immediately hear the speakers, so I'm sure those are working. Because there is no needle, I have not had the chance to test the player out with a record. This item would require some repair.

Oh this item is so cute and would be something that I would have carried around if I owned one of these in the 50's! This item would be perfect for someone who was interested in putting a little bit of work getting her back to her original state. It is a really beautiful piece and would make a great addition to your home.

Size: L 12.25" x W 10" x H 6.5"
