Wonderful heavy gold brooch, circa 1900. Etruscan revival style with delicate granulation and wire work. A fox-tail chain tassel with beaded ends hang from the brooch, giving it movement.

Unmarked but carefully tested for gold content. Beautifully constructed. The gold walls have substance and are solid.

Weight is 19.5 grams or .65 of an ounce.

Measures slightly over 3 1/8 inches long by 1 inch wide, excluding the tassel. The tassel drops down 1 3/4 inches.

There are 13 fox-tails. One has a spot where a loop is slightly pulled out of shape but the chain is secure.

Customized C clasp in the back that covers the sharp end of the pin and closes securely. The pin has a couple of slight bends.

Rich patina in the recessed areas give the brooch dimension. A very elegant piece.
