Mom said the kids use to break them and use the pieces as chalk to play hopscotch among other things.
This chalkware circus lion was given as a carnival prize in the 1940s.

This great looking lion is about 8" tall, about 10" long and 3 1/2" wide

The Chalkware circus lion is unique tawny gold and black. He has his paw on a red ball.

The Circus Lion is in pretty good shape for the age. There are 2 chips on the paw on the ball and a little paint missing here and there.
