vintage c. 1950s
one pair of deadstock toy binoculars or "field glass" in it's original package
atop each pair of binoculars is a tiny working compass
made of thin metal and glass with plastic strap
the box has incredible graphics on all sides and is a striking object on it's own
each pair of binoculars, their boxes and the original case they came in are marked "JAPAN"
the case has two paper labels, one reads: "good quality, JIS S-8006", the other reads "No. ___ Field Glass 1 doz., Made in Japan"

*NOTE: The strap on the binoculars in picture 5 has been replaced with yellow waxed cotton cord. The waxed cotton cord is no longer available, but you will be provided with some fine golden yellow wool yarn with which to replace the strap.*
