A unique and striking lamp made from a wood artist manikin, a handmade wooden gallows and a CFL bulb, this lamp will turn heads as it lights your way in your home.

The internet is a wondrous place. The other day I was browsing Twitter for interesting lamp designs and ran across the Colgao lamp from enPieza! studio in Madrid, Spain. I found their use of a chromed light bulb in an anthropomorphic manner to be intriguing and I knew I had to do something like that myself. Since then I've been working on using wood artist manikins as the base for lamps and this is my latest version.

CFL and LED bulbs only are recommended for this lamp because they will not burn the brown rayon lamp cord in the hangman's noose. Regular filament bulbs get hot and may melt the rayon sheath.

The wood manikin is fully poseable and all the wiring is hidden under the hangman's noose. You can loosen or tighten the noose for other bulbs as well, be careful not to use a bulb that will get too hot and burn the lamp cord noose. The cord out the back is over 6 feet long and includes an on/off switch.

One CFL bulb is included. Spare bulbs are available at Amazon.com, where I purchased this one.

Lamp size:

20" tall

The base is 8" x 10"
