A *very* tiny clay bird feeder, covered with imprinted and applied real leaves, and plant material. Incredibly cute! Wouldn't this look nice hanging in your garden or patio, or on your Christmas tree?

I start by rolling out two circles of clay, mold them into bowl shapes, and press in & apply leaves, etc. After initial drying, I joined the two pieces to create the proper feeder shape. After further drying, it was low fired in an electric kiln. I then applied oxides & glazes to the piece. It was then returned to the kiln for a second, longer high firing to cone 9/10 (high range).

To complete it, I added a braided leather cord, and inserted a branch from my garden into the prepared holes to be used as a perch. Holds a tiny amount of birdseed, or can be used as a small planter for succulents... or a small plant. They can spill over the sides. I have added a drainage hole for this purpose.

Photos #2 shows the front of this feeder compared to other feeders currently on my site. It is the smallest of the three, on the right in the photo. Photo #4 shows this feeder on the left, holding a small plant. Photo #5 shows it on the left, next to a 14.5 oz. soup can, to help you judge its relative size.

Note: branch included with purchase. You may use a dowel or a branch of your own choosing if desired.
