10 x Rustic spruce Buttons. Hand Cut Slices of spruce have been sanded smooth to bring out the beautiful grain, finished with a layer of danish oil to give a natural satin look and feel. Drilled through with 2 x 3mm holes.

Each button measures roughly 1 1/2" (38mm) diameter and 1/4 inch (6mm) thick.

Buttons have a history stretching back over 3000 years. The earliest buttons were used as adornments rather than true buttons and were made from bone, horn and wood. Tree branch buttons are among these. I am proud to be one of the many that carries on the ancient tradition of making these buttons.

No trees were harmed in the making of these buttons. I gather all of my wood from fallen trees and branches or use waste materials from local forestry operations.
