This stunning American Folk Art wall hanging / wool tapestry was purchased last year from an estate sale in Minnesota. Woven with grey, blue, off white, red and sparkly silver heavy wool yarn. There are two tassels hanging on each side of the piece.

Measures 34 1/2' by 37" long. Hand made, most likely the work of an American woman. The exact origin and date is unknown. I'm guessing anywhere between 1950-1970's.

This piece is being sold as a woven tapestry. The tapestry is in excellent condition with no visible stains or snags. It is ready to hang, but the hanging device is crude and could be replaced. There is a break in the wooden piece weighting the bottom. It can hang as is, see above. The fourth image is a view from behind, featuring the two wooden pieces. In the last photo you can see that the wood backing is just covered with velcro which directly adheres to the wool. You can easily replace the bottom piece of wood and velcro if this hanging method suits you. The hanging device is a bonus and not factored into the value.

Let me know if you have any questions!
