Exquisite (and exquisitely remarkable) vintage late 1950s or early 1960s dress.

✧ no label, but I believe it to be custom made or else a designer piece that lost its label
✧ buttercream + black floral silhouette print waffle weave cotton
✧ black silk velvet upper with sheer mesh pannel
✧ large bow in back at the top of the zipper
✧ nipped in waist + broadly pleated tulip skirt
✧ fastens up the back with a covered metal zipper

This dress makes me die a little bit everytime I look at it -- if only it fit me, I would never ever ever let it go! It is so gorgeous and well made that I believe it must be a designer piece that has lost its label, or else was custom made by an incredibly talented seamstress. The sheer ‘window’ on the chest is so unique, and the contrast between the high neckline and the squared plunging backline is utterly wonderful. This dress would be perfect to wear to a wedding, to a fancy cocktail party, to a gala, for a red carpet event, or for any other especially special event at which you wish to dazzle. A deeply, madly, and utterly resplendent dress.

This beautiful dress was custom or designer made over 50 years ago and is in phenomenal condition -- it is truly a treasure and one of a kind! There is not another one like it in all the world!!

Excellent vintage condition with no stains, tears, or visible mends. The buttercream color is darker in some places on the dress than in others, but it is smoothly integrated (not at all in spots or patches) and so is only noticeable if you are really looking for it.
