1950 Burlap Sack Unused New Old Stock Rogers Cotton Seed Navasota Texas

Absolute unused condition, never held seed.
Wonderful for collectors, great for all sorts of home decor project.
Large Sacks with front and back in tact.
The back has a small trade mark on the back and some have a small black stencil for inventory.

Now here's the cool part, this is new old stock, never was used, they were still wrapped in their original twine. ( see climate control really does work, pay more for it at your storage unit) They had been back there since the late 50's, early 60's "best anyone could remember)

These were found behind a seed bin display unit during the final sale of the seed store. Put back there for storage and then never used once the store quit carrying the seeds.

They are in absolute great condition, no tears, no holes, no rips, no fading, just beautiful burlap in a deep, deep red and dark, dark blue printing.

These sacks were to be used for only the Rogers cotton seed, considered to be a pedigreed cotton seed. It held 50 lbs of seed once ordered from the company and then delivered to the store for distribution. This seed came in on railroad cars to the seed store. The seed was first called
Texacala, formerly known as Rogers Acala ~ x ~, originated from a
plant selection made near Navasota, Texas, in 1924 by J. H. Mc-
Donald, who is plant breeder for the John D. Rogers Seed Company,
Navasota, Texas.

Each sack measures 19 " x 27 "
