Great crackle patterns. It's been thrown on the wheel, trimmed and allowed to dry. It's then coated with peach colored Terra Sigillata which gives it a warm, lustrous, smooth surface. It's then bisque fired, after which the body of the pot was covered with a slip resist. It was then Raku fired and placed in combustibles for a short time, removed and sprayed with water. The resist slip then peels away like an egg shell, revealing the very "deep" and interesting crackle patterning left on the pot. The piece is then thoroughly cleaned and sealed to protect and permanently "wet" the surface. Just polish with a soft cloth to clean.

This type of work of porous and therefore should not be used to hold water. Treat it like you'd treat turned wood. It's perfect for holding a dried flower arrangement, or better yet a decorative piece of art all by itself. It measures approx. 7"t x 5.5"w

If you have any questions please feel free to ask and thanks for looking at my work :)
