Vintage French Plaster Bust

I love this little plaster bust of a young woman. I can't decide whether she is supposed to be a flapper type from the 1920s or from the late 18th century - she looks a little like a governess from that sort of time.

She is quite smooth and I think might have had some colour at one time as her lips are tinted pink but that is all that remains now.

Some damage has been sustained in particular around the rim of her hat so that, on the right hand side, her hair is missing. There is also a chip on the base but it is not too visible from the top. Please zoom in on the photographs to ensure you have a good idea of the condition.

There are some initials engraved into the plaster on her shoulder.

Despite the faults this is a really nice piece and displays very well on a shelf or even under a glass cloche.

She measures 6 inches tall x 5 inches wide at the base.

Thank you for looking.
