Very collectible and rare apothecary bottle with original round ball glass stopper and original label, housed in it’s original metal travelling case which has a false bottom to allow the bottle to move around on it’s journeys without breaking and a great but simple mechanism to keep the lid secure, the outer casing may be silver plate but there are no marks to substantiate this, there is an area of age wear on one side of the plate.
Condition: Stopper needs releasing, has no chips or cracks to the glass.
Complete it measures approx 6 1/4 " high(16cm). Rare to find these with original label and even rarer with their original and intricate &ingenious travel case. Absolute beauty. Quite large.
The Label reads :- METHYLATED SPIRIT. H. BOOTH, Dispensing Chemist Ben Rhydding. 465 Finchley Road, Hampstead, N.W. 3
