This 1940-1950's ceramic pie bird duck is a gorgeous kitchen decoration. Pie birds are used to vent the steam from your pie when baking, preventing the filling from bubbling out.
This one is yellow with brown on the top of the head, wings, and bottom. It measures 5" tall!
It has certainly been put through some use, with overall crazing indicative of it's age. There is a glazed-over patch of missed paint on the lower beak shown in picture 4. The base has also been chipped, but it does not affect his ability to stand and do his job! The back edge of his tail feather also has a small chip. Overall, he still displays well, as seen in the first two pictures; so if you've been looking for a yellow duck to complete your collection, this is a great deal.

I may be able to combine ship; if interested in multiple items, please convo me before paying.
