Description

"This issue is dedicated to people who don't always know where they're going, and the people who help them along the way."

This zine chronicles the month of June 2009 - one month after I moved from Portland, Oregon, to live in Richmond, Virginia. I wrote and drew about my garden, a deer dream I had, rains and black-outs, having to be frugal, and the message that a glass hummingbird gave to me. This issue is more text-heavy than the first, but still plenty of drawings to delight the eye. This would make a good gift for someone who has just moved to another city, as well as for anyone who feels they are still "finding their way."

20 pages with black and white illustrations photocopied onto natural-colored paper with a bright blue cardstock cover. This book is quarter-sized, measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2." Printed on at least 30% recycled paper.

Here is a review from Hello Amber:

"I loved the first issue, but the second one is even better! This issue chronicles her move from Portland, Oregon to Richmond, Virginia with anecdotes and drawings. I love her style because it feels so much more like a fairytale or storybook than a zine, it really is delightful. She draws images from a dream she had, the plants and birds in her garden and even includes a delicious-looking rendition of a homemade peanut butter cup from her local coffee shop. I want one!"

Returns & exchanges

If for some reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please contact me first and let me know the problem. We will work together to find a solution that is fair.

Unfortunately, I cannot accept returns or give a refund on items that have been used, damaged, lost, or otherwise not in their original condition unless this damage was incurred during shipping and your item was insured. If this is the case, contact me immediately so I can file a claim. Do not ship the item back to me. Keep all of your packaging materials and the damaged item, and take photos for proof of the damage. Not following this procedure correctly could result in not receiving a refund for the claim.

I cannot refund shipping on items that have been uninsured. If your item is less than $15, I do not automatically insure the item. Please contact me before purchasing if you would like to add insurance.

Shipping policies

I ship using First Class Mail within 1-5 business days of receiving your order. Contact me if you need your package shipped quickly or through another delivery service, and I'll do my best to ship your package in a timely manner. I charge extra for expedited shipping or other services.

Items over $15 are shipped with insurance and include a tracking number. I do not ship with extra services such as insurance or delivery confirmation for smaller/less expensive items unless you request me to do so. Though I do try to pack my items carefully, I cannot be held responsible for loss or damage that occurs during delivery if the package is not insured. I also cannot offer a refund to you if you gave me the wrong address to ship to. It is your responsibility to make sure you provide me with the correct information. If you need insurance, delivery confirmation, or any other extra service, let me know before you purchase your item so I can modify the shipping for you.

International delivery times vary according to country. Please allow for extra time (at least one month) if you are outside of the United States. Make sure your address is correct, and if you know of a particular way to label your package to successfully pass through customs. I will look up your country's prohibitions, but it is always helpful to know insider information. Packages over $15 will be sent insured and you can track your package in your country using this website: www.track-trace.com/post You will need to select your country and provide the tracking number that is on your receipt or e-mail notification of shipment. If you believe your package was lost, I must wait 45 days from the date of the shipment to file an insurance claim. Please check with your post office before asking me to file a claim.

If your package is damaged during transit, save the item and all the packaging, and take photos to give proof of damage. Contact me immediately so I can assess your situation and/or file a shipping claim. Do not return the item to me. Not following this procedure correctly could result in not receiving a refund for the claim.
