This southwest style arrowhead petroglyph heron bird key chain is based on a pattern by Steve Good. I hand cut my key chains (not laser cut) on a scroll saw. I cut the interior image first from 1/8 inch thick wood, then glue the front wood to a 3/16 to 1/4 inch thick backing wood. Next, I cut the outside, shape and sand, and seal the wood. When dry, I fill the image with clear casting epoxy resin mixed with various colorants. After the epoxy is cured, I sand it flush with the wood and finish with a gel wipe on urethane.

The arrowhead petroglyph key chain is maple backed with cherry. I filled it with clear casting epoxy resin which protects the delicate fretwork from damage yet allows the backing wood color to show in the image. I attached a 4 inch long ball chain and a 32 mm split ring to securely hold your keys.

The size of the arrowhead is 2 1/2 inches high and 1 5/8 inches wide. Please note that the storyteller doll is not included with the key chain.
