RENEW / REDUCE
Old green celluloid (with a bit of yellow swirl) purse frame / clasp.
Circa 1920s-30s.
Although it looks like bakelite, it has the unmistakable camphor smell when "rubbed and sniffed".
The original purse was glued into the frame, as there are no holes to attach by sewing.
Hopefully someone can think of a way to reuse / upcycle this interesting piece of purse history.

It still opens and closes well. There is a bit of verdigris (green chalky residue) on the 2 metal hinges.

Clean lines, very streamlined design.

Normal vintage surface wear. No cracks or chips or breaks.
6 by 7 inches when opened.

REDUCED Old Celluloid Purse Frame. Green & Yellow Swirl. Streamline Design. 1930s.
