Oh, the things you'll make! Oh, the Loved Ones You'll Gift!

This is an antique crochet hook, dating from the 1800's, when ladies crochet implements were carved from the bones of ox. It has a lovely weight and feel.

Just 5" long, there is a faint inscription of "size 3" (which seems accurate for modern standards), with lovely ridges for gripping your hand and the yarn at the end opposite the hook.

No doubt someone used this crochet hook to make many shawls, lace collars and other items for herself and those she loved, then passed it on to a daughter or granddaughter.

Now it comes to you for use. You can use it to make new shawls, laces and scarves or gift it to someone who loves a little antiquity in their yarn obsession.

Meet the owner of PureChance.
