Meet me in Montauk!

Getting its name from the Montaukette tribe of native Americans who lived in the area, Montauk is located at the tip of Long Island and has a rich and storied history. Settled by Europeans early on Montauk is home to New York state's oldest lighthouse and the oldest cattle ranch in the US. It holds the nickname, "The Living End" (due to its geographic location) and is particularly famous for its natural lush beauty, beaches that are excellent for surfing, and amazing fishing.

Working off of historical nautical charts I hand drew this map.The drawing was created into a relief plate which was then used to make prints on an old fashioned letterpress. The shorelines of each map are then painted with watercolor.

This map is printed in a limited edition.

Sold unframed.

Paper size: 14 x 18" (fits in a standard frame), Crane's Lettra fluorescent white cotton paper.

Each is signed dated and numbered.

Ships flat in a firm mailer, cello sleeve, and cardboard backing via USPS priority mail.

Smiles,
Michelle
