This is a simple double strand necklace with beautiful handmade turquoise beads with a rich brown matrix and small brown pen shell heishi shell beads that are strung on synthetic sinew. The beads are ever so lightly irregular and with wonderful colors that these images just cant capture! Most are a blue-green turquoise with heavy matrix in great shades of brown that range from ocher and butterscotch to chocolate! A few beads are a very bright, almost electric blue that accent the others just right! The beads I estimate to be 5mm +/- and the whole necklace is about 31.5" long overall.

This necklace was strung with skill and quality that you will appreciate and I suspect is Native American made, probably Santo Domingo Pueblo. Since many of the beads have flat sides, I believe they were each hand made similar to heishi bead making. It would make a great versatile accessory especially for casual summer and beach attire or even used as a bracelet wrapped several times around a wrist. It has a wonderful natural and comfortable quality
I estimate it dates from the 1980's and is in very good condition.

As most experienced buyers of vintage and antique items will know, most objects have some signs of wear and use if you look very closely. I am vary careful to photograph and describe any of these condition issues in the listing.

Some items have some imperfections that have always been with the object- they were created or manufactured that way! I try to point these issues out as well.

If you have any questions- just inquire. I will try to clarify any of these issues for you.

Thank you!
I am willing to make special arrangements to ship most items internationally providing that it is legal to do so and that the buyer is willing and able to communicate with me so I can make those arrangements. Though I can understand and can communicate in many languages, I prefer you have a good understanding of English in order to understand the subtleties and details in making these arrangements. Sometimes the procedure is simple but sometimes more complex.

Most importantly, I ask that the buyer be fully aware that shipping and customs procedures may take up to several weeks and agree to that situation before making the purchase and my making the special arrangements.
I will be happy to combine the shipping of multiple purchases when possible. Some larger or more fragile items may have to be shipped separately to insure they arrive in good condition. If you have any questions just contact me for more information.

Thanks!
