~Daisy~

In my garden, standing on the river rock beside the geranium plant, I found Daisy, the sweetest little bunny with huge dark eyes and an irresistible grin- adorable, (even with a mouthful of flowers.) I picked her up gently and we looked each other in the eye~ She'd caught me! I was hooked! "Of course you can stay in my garden~ and by the way~ What's your favorite color?- Blue? O.k, - got it!" With that, I went inside and knit Daisy her own little suit of clothes~ a tiny blue jacket with her favorite flowers hand-embroidered on the front- and a matching little pair of blue overalls, held in place with two, lacy, pearl-white, large buttons. She was so excited to see her new outfit that she put it on immediately and ran round & round me in large circles, now & then giving an exuberant hop into the air, clicking her heels in delight. I was relieved to see how well it fit her and know that now I don't have to worry about her being cold this winter. I hand knit Daisy's outfit from a 100% acrylic yarn that is hand or machine washable, in a beautiful shade of delft blue. It looks particularly pretty next to her white fur.

Daisy is knit from a very soft, Mohair-blend yarn that is 76.5% acrylic, 10.5% wool, 10.5% Mohair, and 2.5% polyester. She is filled with 100% polyester fill. Her eyes and nose are hand embroidered with cotton embroidery floss. You may not notice from the photos, but Daisy's head is intentionally made to be very floppy. Though it appears loose, I can assure you that it's extremely well attached, strongly stitched with yarn. Stitches that go through her body are repeated over & over & over again. Attached in this way, the bunnies seem even more real because they're able to turn their heads to either side as well as tip them back. Her arms and feet are also attached securely with a repetition of tiny stitches. While her arms are stationary, her feet are designed to be floppy, more like her head. The combination of her very soft, Mohair "fur," her plump, polyester filling, her "loose-limbed" joints, and sweet, grin, make Daisy an irresistibly huggable bunny. It is difficult to walk by without picking her up~

When seated, measured to her "eartips," Daisy is 11" tall. When lying down, measured from her "eartips" to her "toetips," she measures, (when not wriggling,) approx.14" long- Her outfit is removable, however her overall straps should be unbuttoned and CAREFULLY lifted over her face.

**Because of the mohair exterior, this bunny isn't intended to be given to an infant. Daisy shouldn't be given to any child under the age of 5, or who is not old enough to know how to play gently; however, if placed high on a shelf in a baby's room, out of baby's reach, Daisy will be a wonderful addition to the nursery decor- or the decor of a girl's room. She promises to sit there patiently, watching baby, and waiting for baby to reach an age where they can play together.
Unique and one of a kind, Daisy will certainly make a very special addition to anyone's collection as well as a very special keepsake~

~*~ Daisy, created with love, guaranteed 100% to love you back!~*~

***Daisy's outfit helps protect her fur from becoming dirty, but should you find she could use a bath, she can be gently swished through lukewarm soapy water, (hand washed,) then lay flat to air dry. Her outfit can be hand washed as well. The instructions for the yarn used in the outfit say the yarn is machine washable & dryable. I would suggest, should you decide to use the machine, that you place them first in a lingerie bag for protection then lay flat to air dry. They cannot be
ironed.

**** Each of my bunnies is one of a kind, (OOAK) Each bunny is priced according to the degree of complexity in creating both the bunny & the outfit, as well as the number of hours required to make it. It usually takes about 6 full days of work to create a bunny from beginning to end. I use no patterns for their clothes, but create each outfit as I go, according to how I perceive each bunny's personality.
I hope you will enjoy!
