This is a stunning sepia toned lithograph of a young girl in a white frock with lace trim. It is named "Cinderella" and copyrighted by Baker's Art Gallery, Columbus, Ohio 1894. This is the same renowned gallery responsible for the iconic portrait of Annie Oakley.

The overall measurements are:

11 1/4 x 13 1/4"
the frame width is 7/8"
the matt width is 2 1/4"

The photograph is matted with a textured gold matt. If you turn the frame to the light you can see there are some spots in different areas between the glass and the matt. I am not sure if they are on the matt or on the glass. The frame would have to be taken apart to clean them. Hung on the wall looking straight at the picture, they are not as noticable.

The frame itself is a wooden frame painted gold with marks on the surface throughout. It looks as if these marks are on purpose. The bow on top is attached in three places. I am not sure what it is made of, but it could be gold ormolu. It extends above the frame 1 1/4".

Baker’s Art Gallery was founded by Lorenzo Marvin Baker, who began working as a photographer in the early 1860’s. By 1886 he had established his business as Baker’s Art Gallery. Four generations of the Baker family ran the studio until 1955. After the studio closed, the Baker family gave photographs, glass and film negatives to the Ohio Historical Society.

As seen in the fourth picture, the tag titled Cinderella says Published in 22 x 28, 14 x 17, and Cabinet Sizes, Plain or Colored, by The Pierce & Bushnell Mfg. Co. (copyrighted) New Bedford, Mass.

It made it's way to Rochester, New York,as the top label reads:

From Rundel's Art Gallery
9 West Main Street,
Opp. Power's Block, Rochester, NY

The Rundel Art Gallery is no longer there and I have not been able to get any information about it.

The backing is a piece of wood attached to the frame by nails. The paper is badly torn and brittle and taped in some places.
