An extraordinary large chromolithograph of crustaceans and molluscs from a volume of Brehm's "Life of Animals" originally published in Germany. This is the Spanish translation and it was published in Barcelona, Spain in 1883.

The Mollusca, common name molluscs or mollusks are a large phylum of invertebrate animals. Mollusca is the largest marine phylum, comprising about 23% of all the named marine organisms.

Crustaceans (Crustacea) form a very large group of arthropods, usually treated as a subphylum, which includes such familiar animals as crabs, lobsters, crayfish, shrimp, krill and barnacles.

Size of the plate: 12.5" by 8.8"
Size of the image: approx 9.3 by 6.7 inches

In excellent condition. Colors are bright and paper is heavy weight.

This is an original chromolithograph from the 1883 book, not a reproduction
