  • Vintage from the 1940s

Offered here is a Beacon II 127 roll film camera with a nice tan case. This unit is in perfect working condition, and looks great. The body shows little signs of wear, and the lens glass is clear and free of any haze, fungus or marks that could impede image quality.

The Beacon camera by Whitehouse Products was produced in the 1940s. It was manufactured in Brooklyn, New York in the USA. This is a very attractive retractable lens camera that takes 127 roll film. The Beacon II, offered here, was released a few years after the original Beacon camera and includes a mount for a flashgun. This camera produces 16 3x4cm images on 127 film, which is not readily available today. As such, this camera would make a beautiful display camera or a fun gadget for your collection of vintage cameras. Why not make it yours today?

This little camera is amazing! Mom had a vintage Ansco box camera and my small collection began with hers. Seller packaged with camera in its pristine leather case along with its flash outfit as well as original booklet, all bubble wrapped within its leatherette original sales case which was, too, packaged in bubble wrap and in exactly the right sized shipping box so it could not move! The camera itself is unique as described and as I researched a rare find and is of a great material and color! It is unique and a great addition to my collection! I am thrilled to have it now!

Had an issue when I received this camera. I promptly contacted Jeff and we made plans to exchange. He honors his exchange policy and I am so happy for it. I have since sent over 100 shots through the camera and it has worked flawlessly. Very happy, thank you

I was disappointed after receiving this item b/c there were some dust smears visible through the viewfinder. This is the camera I used to learn photography. It was Nikon's beginner's SLR sold '82-'86. I tested this with 6 different film types noting the camera functioned well and smudging did not impact the images. my old one went out. I used it pretty heavy 2 years. Sparingly after. Stopped taking a battery charge. This is not the Nikon that lasts a lifetime and does not approach the quality of intermediate Nikons at the time and was priced about $150 in '84. Good: it is very light & compact. Has programmed, AP & manual modes. I bought this to replace an old gift. Bad: It is full of plastic parts and potential problems that won't be worth fixing. It's a learner and is good for that but don't expect years of continual use.
