These beautiful cast iron owl andirons will add that classy retro touch to your fireplace! They are unmarked, but from our conversation with the seller at the estate sale where we found these unique andirons, we believe these were made in the 1950's in Virginia. The alert owls are perched on curved branches, and each standing owl front has a long support behind it to hold up your logs in the fireplace. These andirons will be a conversation piece in your home with their lovely detailing in the feathers, ear tufts, and face, and those shiny glass eyes that glow and flicker when there is a fire behind them!

Excellent vintage condition. These andirons have been used, so the log supports show wear from intense heat. The owl fronts are in surprisingly good shape compared to others we have seen; they are mostly clean, smooth, and solidly black. Round glass eyes are clear and bright, with tiny bubbles in the glass that are original. A bolt holds the owl fronts onto the log supports, so they could be separated easily if necessary.

Item dimensions:
Each andiron stands about 13.5" tall with a base width of 8".
Log support has dip with 12" of depth for holding the logs 4" off the ground, and the whole andiron has a dotal depth of 17.5".
