This is a stunning circa 1864 15K Gold Ring featuring Turquoise & Seed Pearls pave-set in a Boat or Nave shapped formation. Absolutely gorgeous and rare to find in such good condition. This ring is sized 6. Inside of shank is fully hallmarked for date and high karat gold (15K). * Last photo shows ring on left in a group of other rings I am offering here on Etsy.

Turquoise has been an important gemstone for many ancient cultures: The ancient Egyptians believed it had protective qualities and incorporated it into swords and other weapons. The Aztecs believed that it had magical properties and would help recovery from illness and the Native North American Indians thought that it would bring good fortune.

Pearls were associated with the moon for their "moon-like" characteristics and their use in jewelry dates back to Cleopatra. Pearls were thought to symbolize innocence, honesty, and purity and having the power of love, good luck, wealth, and finally, protection from harm!
