Antique 1800's J.A. Babcock Pewter Vanity Tray, Ornate Dresser Tray

This vanity tray dates back prior to 1864 when J.A. Babcock was taken over by Knickerbocker Silver Company. The maker's mark says J.A. Babcock & Co. Quadruple Plate. This vanity tray is so beautiful and detailed, it has a gorgeous scroll design in the center and supremely detailed rims that depict different floral patterns. There is some pitting or marks on tray that either came with age or were just part of the manufacturing process back then. These marks do not take away from the exquisite beauty of this vanity tray at all.

This vanity tray measures 14 inches long by 11.5 inches wide and is 1 inch deep. This very solid and sturdy pewter tray weighs over 3 lbs.

This is an absolutely gorgeous and rare antique that would look stunning on any dresser.
