Here we have an end / night / occasional table with an incorporated lamp. The base started as a heavy cast iron band saw. Its nicely worn with a lovely patina of aged metal and remnants of a couple of coats of blue and green paint. The shapes and curves give it a sculptural appearance.

Added to this are the lower shelf and tabletop made from antique oak drawer fronts salvaged from an old hardware cabinet. The grain is aged and attractive.

The lamp is a vintage cast aluminum outdoor spotlight converted to residential use. It pivots from straight down for reading to straight up for ambient light with the simple twist of a wing nut. It can also be pivot to some degree. The conduit to which it is mounted can be raised and lowered 8" with the use of a small screw knob. The switch is mounted in a cast iron switch box at the 'back' of the lower shelf.

The original drive wheels have been replaced with a machine pulley on one side and the flywheel from a treadle sewing machine on the other for aesthetic effect.

The lower shelf measures 14" x 8". The tabletop measures 16" x 15". From the floor, the shelf is 14", the tabletop 26", and the connection of the lamp to the conduit is 62". The lamp opening is 5" in diameter.
