This handmade salt glazed pottery jug was fired in a traditional groundhog kiln and salt glazed. The kiln fired in 12 hours and was immediately closed up, which added to the reducing atmosphere. This salt glazed jug measures 4" tall and it is signed on the bottom "Luck's Ware 2012 Laura Bristow Beavers". If you want one fresh out of the kiln, this was fired on the 21st of July!

I will reduce shipping costs as much as possible on multiple pottery purchases!

Frequently asked questions about Beaverspottery

Yes! My pottery doesn't contain any lead or other minerals that would make my pottery unsafe for daily use.
I make all my glazes using recipes from other potters, online, books, and trial and error. I do not purchase any premixed glazes.
Absolutely! These jugs are made and fired just as they would have been in the 1800s. They were fired hot enough for the clay to vitrify, so they will hold liquid.
Yes, I do make dinnerware for special orders. Dinner plates, salad plates, bowls, cups, mugs, serving pieces, or whatever you'd like to include in your set.
