All it takes is a little imagination to think of so many uses for this decorative tin trinket box. Use as is or, if you are the creative type, dress it up even more with trim or braid, or add a felt or velvet lining. This tin would also make the perfect gift box for a piece of jewelry. This particular size has been used to make mini-sewing emergency kits, first aid kits, mini tool kits and can even hold golf tees or two small floating tea-candles and a couple matches in case of electrical black outs.

The top of this box has been decorated with a digitized scene cropped and printed from either one of the wall hangings I sell or a famous Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock artist such as Hokusai, Hiroshige and Hanarobu. The print is adhered and decoupaged to the top of the metal box, trimmed, and then sealed with 3 layers of acrylic sealer. It is water resistant but not water or scratch proof.

This is a rectangular hinged top 3 ounce "tin" (100% steel) container with cover that is hinged on one side. It is the same size as the Altoid Mint tin but these are new—not-reused tins. This tin is food grade but caustic substances can cause the steel to corrode. Outside dimensions are 3-11/16” x 2-5/16” x 3/4” deep—no sharp edges.

Not the right design for you? Another style might be shown last in the photos and is not for sale in this listing but may still be available for purchase

Each tin is unique, and because there are so many steps to the process, a lot of time goes into creating each one. Because they are individually handcrafted, one may occasionally have a minor irregularity (such as a tiny bubble) caused during the decoupage process. In some photos there may appear to be white streaks or spots, but these are only reflections of the flash during the photography process and are not imperfections in the design.

We all hate overpaying for shipping and my listed shipping costs are best estimates for the individual item. If you wish to purchase more than one item at one time, I can combine them in a special reserved listing for you and recalculate the weight and most likely save you excess postal fees. I can also combine items from both of my stores into one purchase—Please convo me first BEFORE you make payment! I am unable to combine shipping once you have paid for your selection. Wish to make a purchase but don’t see your country listed?—it might be possible.
