Rustic tin plated vintage copper bowl with rolled rim.

Worldly bowl looks like a part of an old lunch box or "sefer tas" that would have up to three more bowls like this one, vertically held together by a brass lock. The metal handles on the sides would be used to slide this metal piece through to keep them connected. The set would have only one lid for the piece at the top. Street yoghurt vendors of the old times also used a similar system of several interlocked bowls. Interesting historical object and conversation piece.

Simplistic bowl stands 2 1/2'' tall (6.5 cm) and weighs 11 oz (320 gr).
The base and mouth have diameters of 6'' and 6 1/3'' (15 and 16 cm)

Tin plating has totally worn off on the interior (last pic) and copper shows advanced oxidation. Metal is tarnished and discolored with shades of grey and brown blending. There are scuffs, dings and bits of excess tin residue on the sides. Metal needs cleaning and bowl would benefit from polishing. There are no cracks, tears or holes.

Sefer tas means expeditionary bowl and the term is coming from the Ottoman military to refer to the pots soldiers would use for their rations. It was later used for any lunch box used at school or work place.
