William Butler Yeats Art Doll Miniature

William Butler Yeats, 1865 – 1939, was an Irish poet and playwright, and one of the foremost figures of 20th century literature. Yeats was a moving force behind the Irish Literary Revival and, along with others, founded the Abbey Theatre, where he served as its chief during its earlier years. In 1923, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature as the first Irishman so honored.

I created Mr. Yeats in a two piece tan and brown colored suit with white shirt and brown neck bow. He has real fiber hair, black wire spectacles, and a hand painted face. He even holds a tiny replica book of his famed works!

I create my unique characters out of a special combination of wood, wire, clay, and paint.

Yeats is a tiny and collectible 4 1/2 inches tall, (11.4 cm).
