An essential in the wardrobe of any wench, my Wench Bodices are made from only the finest upholstery grade damasks and tapestries. This bodice is designed to give you the alluring cinched in silhouette so iconic of the Renaissance period, nipping in your waist and lifting up your bustline. Each bodice is fully reversible to in two different fabrics and is steel boned down the front lacings with high quality steel. I use a specially engineered boning system to ensure that the steel will never poke out and to further reinforce the lacing grommets for maximum durability. Expect to enjoy your bodice for years with proper care. Dry clean only, please.

Fabric on Side 1: Burgundy and Tan Leaf Patterned Damask
Fabric on Side 2: Burgundy and Green Leaf Patterned Floral Tapestry
Lacing Grommet Color: Your choice from matte black, brass, or nickel
Laces: Black Cotton Corset Lacing with Metal Aglets

This bodice will be custom made to fit the buyer. Upon purchase, please send me the following measurements and details: Bust, Ribcage, Waist, Nape of Neck to Waist, Height, Fit Type, and Grommet Color. Instructions for taking the measurements and guidelines for the fit types are below:

Bust: This is NOT your bra size. Measure around your chest at its fullest point. The largest bust size I can accommodate in this listing is 50" actual bust.

Ribcage: This is also not your bra size. Measure around your ribs, just beneath your bra band.

Waist: This your waist at its thinnest point, which will be higher than your modern waistline is. Measure this firmly, but without actually restricting your waist. I'll do the "squish math" for you. If you have trouble finding your bodice waistline, tie a string around your torso. Bend back and forth and side to side a few times. The string will settle at the waistline you need to measure at. This also helps give you a good point of reference for the front and back shoulder to waist measurements.

Nape of Neck to Waist: Measure straight down from the spinal bone at the base of your neck to the natural waistline you just measured. If you have trouble taking this measurement, send me front shoulder to waist instead (just note that in your measurements). You can measure that from the center of a semi-snug fitting t-shirt's neck to shoulder seam straight down to your waistline, pressing your chest towards your breastbone to simulate the compression and cinching that the bodice will provide.

I can make your bodice fit several different ways, depending on your snugness preferences. Here are the fit types:

Relaxed Fit: If you want your bodice to fit only a *small* bit restrictively while still remaining more than breathably comfortable, this is the fit type you should request. NOTE: With this fit style, you will have little to no cleavage or lift/support.

Standard Fit: If you are wanting a bodice to fit like a basic wench bodice should while remaining relatively comfortable, opt for this fit type. This is the basic, moderately snug fit most often chosen for a nice blend of comfort/support and that wonderful nipped in waist and lifted chest so iconic of period (or period inspired) Ren bodices.

Snug Fit -or- Standard Fit with a Front Gap: If you are very used to tight lacing and want a tight fit -OR- if you want a standard fit laced up with up to a 1" gap at the front lacings, this is the fit type to request. NOTE: If this is your first bodice, I do not recommend this fit as you will likely find it too restrictive and uncomfortable. This type of fit is more of an acquired taste, recommended only for those who have experience wearing tight corsets and bodices.

If you have any questions at all about sizing, please send me a message before you purchase. Finding the perfect size can seem a little challenging, but it doesn't need to be! I'd be happy to help!
