VINTAGE DISTRESSED TEDDY BEAR

It was difficult for Lucy to keep her 'stern face' on as she watched Timmy, her little three-year-old slowly make his way over to the "naughty chair" and plop himself down. In his arms was his constant friend and companion, Teddy, a tattered and beleaguered looking teddy bear. Timmy looked up at his mother with is big blue eyes and said, "Mommy, I think in need a new bear, Teddy keeps makin' me be naughty?"

ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Here's an absolutely adorable Teddy bear which has been well-loved with the distressing to prove it. We are dating it to the 1940s or 50s but it may be older. It looks to be made of mohair with cotton stuffing. The bear is 18.5" (47cm) long and 7" (18cm) shoulder to shoulder. It has articulating arms and legs. You could mend this old guy or leave it they way it is for use in a cottage chic decor.

CONDITION:
As mentioned this stuffed animal is distressed with lots of wear to it. The back main seam is coming apart in one spot (it is being held together with two safety pins) and there's another couple of holes along the side. The head is coming loose at the neck joint. The fur is worn off on about 50% of this bear, mainly on the belly, back and face. The metal button eyes have some rust on them. The stuffing integrity is good and there's no foul odors or excessive soiling.
