Allow your children to travel to “Adventure Lands” and “Enchanted Isles” with this great pair of 1950s illustrated Treasury of Literature Read-Text Series hardcover books. These two books are written by Eleanor Johnson and Leland Jacobs and published by Charles E. Merrill Books, Inc. The covers have fantastic color and will look great on a child’s bookshelf or side table. These illustrated (both color and black and white) books have many great stories including:

Adventure Lands (1954): 408 pages including The Emperor's New Clothes, Stuart Little's Nautical Adventure and Lewis Carroll's How Doth the Little Crocodile and He Thought He Saw

Enchanted Isles (1954): 360 pages including Dr. Dolittle and the Pushmi-Pullyu, The Ugly Duckling and Rudyard Kipling's The Elephant's Child

Measurements: Each book is 9 1/4" x 7" x 1"

Condition: These books are in great vintage condition. Both books are marked with South Brunswick Township Schools on the inside cover. There is no writing or marks in the books and the bindings show slight wear. These wouldn’t be complete without that old book smell.
