This 1950s planter has a really neat design. With three tiered horizontal rows that resemble shingles, it has an Art Deco vibe. This piece is bathed in a soft yellow glaze with a hint of chartreuse. I use planters like this in my studio to corral all sorts of small items. They are so useful!

Made by Cookson Pottery, this large planter is marked CP-2808 USA on the bottom. Cookson Pottery was located in Roseville, Ohio and specialized in planters and vases from the mid-1940s through the 80s.

Measuring 8.5 inches long, 5.25 inches wide and just under 4 inches high, this relic is in very good condition with no chips or cracks, a very clean interior, and just a tiny glaze flake on one corner (shown in the last photo).
