So sweet and sentimental is this vintage pillow cover for Mom.

This souvenir pillow from San Francisco dates from the 1940s, WWII era.

In excellent clean vintage condition, this screen print is made of silky shiny blue satin rayon. Scenes of the Golden Gate bridge, military insignia and air brushed guns and roses. Yep, guns (well cannons really) n roses.

Pillow is about 16" square plus 2" tassel fringe.
Just one little faint tiny spot on lower right corner.

Made as an inexpensive souvenirs for soldiers to send home to their mothers.
Like a hallmark card for Mother's Day, but in pillow form.

The poem from a song reads: All together now...
M is for the million things she gave me
O means only that she's growing old.
T is for the tears she shed to save me.
H is for her heart of purest gold.
E is for her eyes with love light shining.
R means right and right she'll always be.
Put them all together they spell Mother.... A word that means the world to me.
