18th Century
Foot Bath
Original Recipe 1772
2 to 3 servings per box

This is an authentic 18th Century Foot Bath herbal kit made from a true 18th century recipe. It comes with the herbs ready to go. You can either make a foot bath out of them, by boiling them in water first, or you can add them to your foot bath tub in hot water in the cotton baggie.

Herbs included in the recipe:
Sage - Antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties
Rosemary -Has antibacterial, anti fungal, anti viral, as well as muscle soothing and Anti
inflammatory properties.
Peppermint - Cooling and soothing
Juniper Berries - For wounds and for pain in joints and muscles.
Angelica -For nerve pain, joint pain, and skin disorders.

This smells heavenly, very earthy. It reminds me of fall harvests, and Christmas, with long walks in the woods.

The 18th century saw a revival in going to spas, foot baths, and "taking the waters" for one's health along with a renewed desire to bathe. These various herbal water treatments were said to cure a wide range of conditions. They say, Marie Antoinette insisted on frequent baths she loved to enjoy a long, luxurious soak in a glorious fragrant herbal bath.It is also said that she even ate her breakfast while bathing, fully dressed in her chemise, for modesty.

This specific 1772 foot bath soothes tired feet and makes them soft.

This is meant to soak your feet in, not to drink.

To Use: Mix a few Tablespoons with hot water, soak hands or feet 15-30 minutes, dry and moisturize! Can also be used in the bathtub!!
