The Attacus Atlas, one of the largest moths in the world, named after the Greek Titan Atlas for its unusual map-like design on its wings. It is known in China as the "snake's head" moth for its protruding snake-like wing tips, meant to dissuade predators.

A perfect compliment to the earthy Attacus Atlas top:

The brass hand wire-wrapped headband is scrolled with art nouveau flair. It gently adjusts to your shape and is attached with two heavy duty alligator clips. Each side holds a single Attacus Atlas moth wing, laminated under cruelty-free conditions. Pheasant feathers create the underside of the wind to create the illusion of a full half of the moth. Each side also is flocked with a vintage brass embossed medallion, with the image of a Greek Titan whose headpiece mirrors the one constructed. A brass chain with single drop of brass in the center completes the mysterious look.

A true one-of-a-kind art piece.
