This listing is for a Regency Spencer with long sleeves and a tall, open collar. It is made of a lovely bronze taffeta with a high shine. It laces closed under the bust and the collar drapes open to show the gown underneath.

This style jacket was worn throughout the Regency era (1790s-1820s). It originally began as a men’s fashion but quickly became popular with the ladies and men lost interest. The term “Spencer” refers to the gentleman who first popularized the style.

Bust: 35”- 37"
Underbust: 32”- 34"
Neck to Underbust: 11 1/2”
Shoulder to wrist: 22” Then to cuff: 26”
Wrist: 8"
Cuff: 9”

Care Instructions: Hand wash, drip dry. This spencer is new and has never been worn.
