An ANTIQUE / Vintage 1923 Egg Beater with its Glass Mixing Bowl. The lid fits perfectly on top of the beater as you turn the gear wheel so that no liquid (or egg) sprays out on you. These were used for beating egg whites, whipping cream, etc. The gear wheel and beaters turn and there are no chips or cracks in the glass bowl. It is a very substantial bowl/container (quite heavy so that it stays in place on the countertop while whipping). This beautiful antique egg beater will make a lovely display piece in your vintage / antique, primitive, cottage chic, French Country, etc. type kitchens! It is rare to find ones this old that are still in good condition.

The beater is marked on the gear "A & J Pat. Oct 9, 1923 Made in U.S.A. " The bottom of the glass bowl is marked Wesson Oil. The bowl measures approx. 4" tall and is 4 1/2" in diameter. With the egg beater/lid in place, the entire piece measures approx. 10 1/2" tall.
