George M. Moulton commanded the Second Illinois Infantry during the Spanish American War. They were stationed in Florida, as well as Havana Cuba, where they spent time with the Rough Riders. His Great Grandson has been sharing some of George's military insignia and buttons with us.

This listing is for two sew on metal braided/coiled insignia for the Illinois Second Infantry. These were gold gilt and designed to look like rope. Insignia are in very nice condition. Both have a rich patina. One of the pieces is slightly bent along the line that says ILL.

These measure 1.5" x 1" and have four loops on the back where they would be sewn on to the uniform.

I will be listing several more pieces of insignia from George Moulton in the coming days, so check back!
