This beautiful little book is what students used to learn to read in second grade back in the early 1900s. It is a great reflection of the major differences of students at the turn of the century vs. students today. The reading level is amazing more along the lines of a 5th grade level today.

The image pages are beautifully produced and the book itself is in pretty good condition considering it was carried by a child through the course of a years worth of reading. Inside the front cover is hand written: Sept. 23, '22 Dorothy Zehner Jayson Spgs, Hon
