A crocheted kippah that looks just like a Pokemon Pokeball!

Please note that, like many kippot in my store, this is a kippah design, and if you order it I will then make you one. So please understand if it takes a little while for it to be ready to ship.

When I finished a kippah at home in central Massachusetts, I determine that it is the right size (by using the traditional test of folding it in quarters, laying it across the back of my hand, and making sure that it’s at least 2 fingers wide – although mine are usually 3½ fingers wide). Then I block it by running it under cold water, fitting it to a mannequin head, and allowing it to dry upside down. Once dry, I attach a small label on the inside and iron it.

What sets my kippot apart from most others is their texture. By using a very small hook (some might even call it ridiculously small), I create a firm and sturdy fabric that will keep its shape on your head. I can only work for a couple of hours a day or else I run the risk of crocheting a hole in my finger!

This kippah will be mailed in a cardboard gift box, padded with a matched color of recycled shredded paper that will help it keep its shaped in transit.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
You can machine wash this kippah in cold water (I usually know it’s time to wash one when the inside is a different color than the outside). Instead of putting it in the dryer, do the same thing I did to block it: Gently stretch it by hand to make it round again, then mold it to your (or the wearer’s) head by putting it on and pushing out evenly in all directions. Then allow it to dry upside down and it will retain the shape of your head.

Thanks for looking!
