Was originally $110
I could not pass this antique 1920s western electric telephone at a recent sale. All black, I believe bakelite. This phone is heavy and the simplicity of it really caught my attention. I love the receiver and how the ear piece and mouth piece are different shapes. I LOVE that there are no numbers, because I think I would have loved being the "operator" in those days, connecting people.
The cord and wires look original.
There is a felt bottom.
I would say this is probably not working as the wires are disconnected but you know your talents and skill:)
The phone is in nice condition for it's age and lots of use.
There are wear and tear marks as well as scuffs but no major breaks or cracks throughout the piece.
If you have questions ask.
And if you have more info on this beauty, feel free to share it with me:)
PLEASE see the 2nd photo for the Western Electric make model
Needs cleaned leaving that up to the collector, I am not familiar with cleaning this surface and don't want to do any damage
