This mini table top Dia De Los Muertos shrine features a polymer clay calavera, a teapot, a cross, a white "mantel" covering the table with a stone bead wrapped around the base of the altar. I've also added papel picado around the table. Yellow and white mantel or table covering signify new beginnings and forgiveness in terms of thinking of those who you are honoring on day of the dead.Small cups, plates and food are left on altars to offer those who have passed, who have the ability to visit on Dia de Los Muertos. Traditonally, strong smells are used to cook the foods because although the dead cannot consume the foods, they partake by and enjoy the rich way the foods are cooked. Cups of water, drinks, "refrescos" are also seen on altars because your loved ones are tired of their long journey to come over and see you and it's only nice to offer them something to drink, especially something they liked.
This table top mini shrine is roughly 4" high.
Message me if you'd like it customized with a photo of a loved one. There's enough space on the table for a small photo or memory item, but try not to put anything breakable.
