Vintage Art Deco Vanity Set Celluloid. Gorgeous 10 pc. set in excellent condition. Pieces are marked Pryalin by Dupont USA, This set has a patent number 1604093, which dates this to the 1920's. Set includes: large and small brush, comb, 4 boxes with lids and insert trays, button hook, jewelry box and tray. The jewelry box lid is a shade lighter than rest of the set, I honestly don't think it takes away from this set.

The tray is exquisite and personally I would hang it up. The tray is 11.5" x 7.25". It has a double glass, oval center with a gold and black sillouette of girls dancing pressed between the glass. The jewelry box is 6" wide and 2 1/4" high and the boxes are 6" wide and 5" high. The detailing on the comb along the bottom edge of the teeth, the metal geenielamp lid finials.....this was definitely a high end set. The comb has all teeth present, the bristles on the brushes are tight. Three of the 4 vanity boxes have inserts, 2 of the inserts are translucent trays with handles, the other one has a metal tray which has a center that presses down on a spring support. It is amazing that these trays have survived all these years, considering its almost 100 years old.

Given the age on the set , flaws are all minor. A few scratches, one box on inside rim has a chip and I see a burn mark (small) on jewelry box. None of these are flaws I would consider major or catch your eye. I have had a lot of sets, this is one of the nicest...please use photos and if you need more please convo me.
